​​​​​​​This service is meant for referring veterinarians if they have an urgent surgery case that they simply cannot attend to due to time constraints or just don’t like to perform those types of surgeries, and elective surgeries they, for a variety of reasons, wish to refer. While many of these procedures DO NOT require the expertise of a boarded surgeon, pet owners are often referred to specialty centers where they pay accordingly. Our goal is to provide a means for a practitioner to refer such cases and for their clients to have those procedures done at a price that is more reflective of a general practice setting. However, if having the procedure performed by a boarded specialist is desired, that is also absolutely available! This is not an emergency service and the referral must come DIRECTLY from the referring practitioner - NO calls from pet owners regarding these services will be permitted/accepted without a referral from their own veterinarian, nor will calls from the general public who are price shopping. This service is only intended to support those practitioners who for whatever reason on a given day are in a bind or generally prefer to not perform certain procedures.

Examples:
Uncomplicated foreign bodies, large dog spays, pyometras, C-sections, cystotomies, certain mass removals, etc. If you want to get a quote for a specialist in surgery and prefer that route you can still do that - ALL general surgical non-specialty referrals are on a case by case basis.
